Schuitemaker introduces the new Rapide 85 for efficient transport of voluminous and lightweight crops

In response to the increasing demand from the French market for a loader wagon with which voluminous lightweight crops, such as dried grass and hay can be loaded and transported, Schuitemaker introduces the new Rapide 85.

Due to the short time frame in which the forage harvest takes place, the speed of the pick-up and ensilaging process is essential. As a result, the demand for machines with a higher capacity continues to rise. Particularly with voluminous lightweight crops such as dried grass and hay, increased capacity results in a shorter field period and savings on fuel and time.

Loading 30% more

The Rapide 85 is the result of an intensive collaboration with French dealer Cressonnière. “Unlike other hay wagons, the Rapide 85 not only has a huge loading volume, but also the unique Rapide pick-up and cutting concept. This creates an efficient workflow, high cutting quality, sustainable character and a high degree of reliability.” explains Romain Houdayer, co-owner of Cressonnière.

He continues: “By cutting the hay, the user is able to load up to 30% more. Compared to other machines, the Rapide can be used flexibly. For example, the V-model, with which - in addition to loading fresh grass - hay and grass can also be fed to the animals. Some contractors also use the machines to transport other bulk materials, such as wood chips.”

Finally, Houdayer mentions the advantages of the ease with which knives can be (dis)assembled from the cutting channel. “This allows us to easily cut different lengths. When we feed hay, we work with fewer knives than when we pick up grass for silage.”

Dual use

Unique to the new Schuitemaker Rapide 85 is the option to convert the wagon from a loader wagon with maximum capacity to a feed wagon that distributes the feed evenly at the feed fence. The distribution rollers can be dismantled, so that pick-up work can be done with maximum capacity in summertime and the machine can be used as a feed wagon in the winter. The wagon can be used for several purposes, to optimally support the contractor and livestock farmer.

Innovate together

The dealers of the SVgroup act as antennas in the field, so that the machines are always designed from the user's point of view. This is also apparent from the conversation with Houdayer. “We identify the wishes and questions from the French market and discuss them, after which Schuitemaker investigates the possibilities with regard to product development. This makes us feel very involved in the development process.” So, we work together to achieve mastery.

Unique Rapide concept

Of course, the new Rapide 85 also has the unique Rapide concept. Characteristic on this concept are the Schuitemaker Trailing pick-up, the RapidFlow feed roller and the PowerRotor. These features ensure a simple, sustainable and efficient pick-up process. The concept also guarantees a high ground clearance and the largest possible load capacity in the most compact wagon construction. Reliable quality, now harvested even faster.

Master your Forage

Excellent roughage that is ensiled in an efficient way; that is what every livestock farmer has in mind when purchasing the machines that have to take care of this. As a contractor you want to be able to rely on your machines at the moments that matter. With the renewed Schuitemaker Rapide 85 you have optimum efficiency in forage harvesting from dry and voluminous crops, today and tomorrow.
